Apple Kush

Apple Kush is an indica-dominant hybrid created by crossing Pure Kush and Sour Diesel strains. Although indica dominant, Apple Kush primarily has sativa-like effects, uplifted mood, and primarily reduced social anxiety. In higher doses, the strain (cultivar) displays the typical effects of indica-dominant strains, including sedation and a physical buzzing sensation. Apple Kush has a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) level of around 15%-20% and less than 1% cannabidiol (CBD). Other than anxiety, some may also use Apple Kush to manage chronic pain, insomnia, and appetite loss.The original breeder and location of Apple Kush are currently unknown, with some sources stating the strain was initially bred in Amsterdam and others claiming it was bred in Oregon. The parentage of Apple Kush is also a cause of dispute, with some reports claiming that the parent strains are Sour Apple and OG Kush, not Pure Kush and Sour Diesel. So far, phytochemical analysis is inconclusive, and the general opinion is that Apple Kush is a hybrid of Pure Kush and Sour Diesel strains. Pure Kush is an indica-dominant hybrid with a high THC content of 21%-26%. Although common usage includes treating chronic pain, migraines, insomnia, and arthritis, the smoke of Pure Kush is harsh on the lungs and unpleasant to inhale for some users.Sour Diesel is a sativa-dominant hybrid with a high THC content of 21-26% and is noteworthy for its diesel-like smell and potent cerebral effects. The flower buds of Apple Kush have a strong diesel scent, while the smoke tastes fruity, earthy, and floral. It has been likened to apple pie with a hint of diesel. Although the smoke still irritates the lungs of some users, overall, it is much more pleasant to inhale than its parent strains.
